Squirrels at 8th Alton
8th Alton hosts one Squirrel Drey.
For children aged 4 to 6, our drey offers a variety of activites enabling Squirrels to have fun and learn and develop new skills. We will be using play, craft, song, stories and indoor and outdoor activities as the children take their first steps into Scouts.

“We are excited to encourage the Squirrels to have fun and learn new skills. Hopefully, the Squirrels will go on to become Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and even future leaders.”
Squirrel Uniform Badges
Before you start Squirrels you do not need to worry about buying anything! Come along and see how you get on. If you’d like to join us, you can buy the uniform and we will provide the badges.
When invested (the process of joining), you will receive a scarf / neckerchief, a woggle, a membership award (the purple badge), the Scout Group name tape and a District Badge.
Throughout your time in Squirrels, we hope that you earn an arm full of badges and a chest full of challenge awards.
